Algospeak-to-English Dictionary

George Orwell famously published his futuristic dystopia novel "Nineteen Eighty-Four" in 1949. In it, people have forcefully adopted a new language pushed onto them by the government known as "newspeak." Its purpose was to limit people's critical thinking and strip them of their individuality so they wouldn't accidentally criticize their overbearing government.

Flash-forward to present day with the rise of TikTok which is predominately used by zoomers, the most sensitive PC generation to exist. To ensure that their content is pushed to the front of people's recommendations, these people have purposefully created their own version of newspeak called "algospeak." Now its purpose is to not offend advertisers and the almighty algorithm (hence the name algospeak) so they can safely remain terminally online.
